Moreton Bay Fig Wand

The wood was a windfall branch taken from a beautiful gigantic, wise and ancient Moreton Bay Fig tree, with external roots and buttresses large enough to hide in.As the purchase of a Magickal Tool is an important and considered decision, I thought you might like to see it…

It might not seem very large when you first look at the photo on the left – but if you look carefully, you will see there is a baby standing at the bottom of the tree. It’s quite spectacular and has such a warm, welcoming and protective vibration.

Sitting beneath the tree  is a wonderfully relaxing and healing experience.

This particular wand manages to combine ornate embellishment with an elegant simplicity – and we feel this wand would be perfectly suited to either a male or a female owner.

The branch has had the bark removed to reveal the pale golden wood beneath. It has been gently and lovingly sanded by hand (no machines!) to a smooth finish. The wood has been treated only with natural waxes and oils to protect and preserve it and to bring out its natural beauty. We feel strongly that chemical varnishes, stains and preservatives sould have no part in the production of our Magickal items.

The tip of this wand has been sent with a natural clear quartz crystal point – perfect for directing and transmitting the energy, intent and Will of the wand’s owner.

The body of the wand has been set with three very beautiful crystals, chosen for their energy and the way in which they complement the wood and design of the wand. The process of selecting crystals for magickal tools is something which involves a good deal of thought and consideration. These tools often take a while to manifest as their components are brought together in an almost organic fashion.

The Moreton Bay Fig Wand incorporates smooth cabouchons of sparkling quartz, citrine & a glowing agate crystals. These have been surrounded with a pattern of spirals and subtly accented with a pale lemon CZ crystal on each side.

The spiral embellishments on the wand have been finished with a shimmering, pale silver/gold – which fits perfectly with the colouring of the wood and crystals.

The tail of the wand (it doesn’t seem quite right to call it a ‘butt’!) is set with a polished red jaspar cabouchon, accented with a sparkly sapphire blue CZ crystal.

None of this is ostentatious – but it looks awesome and feels great to touch… rather like the natural and understated beauty of the tree from which the wand originally came.

This wonderful and unique creation will come to you complete with its own handmade velvet wand bag – to protect and store your precious tool when it is not in use.

This one-off wand is $195 NZD – including free shipping within New Zealand & Australia.
