Antique-Gold Style Pendant with Pounamu (Greenstone) – Sold

Created from a polished disc of natural, genuine New Zealand Greenstone (pounamu) – this pendant is simply stunning.

The design and antique-gold effect was inspired by our recent creation of the Redwood Wand with Fire Agate, which has received wonderful feedback from both men and women alike.

Our first thought was, “Wow – this would look *amazing* as a jade pendant!”… and so, filled to bursting with creative inspiration… this piece came into being.

Now, as hard as it is to try to find the words to accurately describe this jewellery, it’s even harder to try and take photos which truly do it justice. As anyone who owns a piece of pounamu jewellery knows (which must be almost everyone in New Zealand, right?), the stone has a wonderful capacity to change its appearance in different lighting.

This makes for an intriguing and versatile pendant… but it doesn’t half make it difficult to try and capture the essence and spirit of the piece in a photograph!

Created under the energies of the New Moon, this pendant is ideal for assisting in clearing out the old, unwanted, stagnant parts of your life – and for providing support and assistance with new projects and ideas – or maybe even a new relationship…  or a new baby!

Containing the symbol of the koru -  the spiral shape reprents the unfurling front of the tree fern of New Zealand, and symbolises new life, growth, strength and peace.

This pendant would make a beautiful gift  for a loved one, and would be particularly lovely thought to send overseas to friends or relatives in other countries, as a token from New Zealand… the greenstone being quite literally a part of the land.

Embellished with three emerald-green and one pale lemon CZ crystals, the top of the pendant has been completed with an antique-gold effect finish, to perfectly complement the colour of the jade.

It comes complete with a handmade, genuine silk neck cord, as seen in the photos.
