Ornate Silver Crystal Chalice – Sold

But a great witch’s tools also gain much power; and you should ever strive to make any tools you manufacture of the finest materials you can obtain, to the end that they may absorb your power the more easily.

And of course if you may inherit or obtain another witch’s tools, power will flow from them.”

So writes Gerald Gardner, the founder of modern Wicca, in his published Book of Shadows.

This chalice is therefore very special: not just because it is a unique Mildred & Myrtle creation… but because it was previously owned by a witch. Because of its history,  according to the wise words of Gerald Gardner, “power will flow from [it].”

It delights me to think of this chalice being raised in Her honour so many times in the past. It is wonderful to know that now, in its new incarnation it can find its new Keeper, who will continue to to love and treasure it for many years to come.

There are no markings on the chalice to identify what it is made from (although I can say with certainty that it isn’t solid silver). I can attest to it being heavy, sturdy and well made.

To bring new life to this chalice, I have set four natural crystals around the outside of the bowl. These have been linked all the way around with ornate scrollwork and leaves. I find that I can get a sense of how a finished item wants to look… and this is very much in keeping with the chalice’s own ideas of how it should be decorated. It’s very pleasing to see a finished creation and know that it matches up beautifully with the image that I have been given before I start work.

As you might expect, I spent many, many hours creating this chalice, which has been a real labour of love. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every one of them. It’s been a pleasure to see this creation manifest before me: and I will only spend time on pieces when I know that I am in the right headspace to do so.

This may well limit my productivity (although it will vastly increase the exclusive nature of our creations!) but as my energy and imprint will be left on each piece that I produce, I want to know that they will only receive positive energy from me.

Of course, as the new keeper of this chalice you will most likely want to cleanse and bless her, consecrating her for your own use. (I will naturally be happy to offer some pointers on this if you would like to perform such a blessing on this, or any of our creations, but are unsure how to proceed).
